Community projects

The Middleton Life project has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is giving Middleton residents the opportunity to tell the history of the area and people’s life stories. 

A group of Middleton residents will act as community reporters, exploring the history of Middleton, focussing on family life, working conditions and the significant changes in health and medical care at a number of key points in history.

The community-based reporters will also post their findings on a local blog www.southleedslife.wordpress.com and also help produce a community magazine. They’ll also put together permanent exhibition panels celebrating Middleton’s history at Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre.
